Morning! We’re doing a round of 3 Days, 3 Quotes starting this morning. Thank you to Jordan of Words… I Need Words for tagging us. Make sure to check out her wonderful blog!
- Thank the person you nominated you
- Post a quote for three consecutive days
- Nominate three new bloggers each day
erm nominated me (three) to pick the first quote, and I’m going with an old favourite:
“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?”
“That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,” said the Cat.
“I don’t much care where – ” said Alice.
“Then it doesn’t matter which way you go,” said the Cat.
“-so long as I get somewhere,” Alice added as an explanation.
“Oh, you’re sure to do that,” said the Cat, “if you only walk long enough.”
This is, of course, Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carrol.
Why this quote? In my view, this quote encompasses young adult life better than any “21 things all young adults know to be true” article on Buzzfeed. I’ll still read them, but seriously, the Cat says it all. I like to think of the Cat’s advice when I start to get annoyed by the fact that life doesn’t go according to all my incessant planning: I don’t know where I’m going, so the direction I’m walking in will do just fine.
Today we are going to nominate 3 blogs we love:
Have at it!
